Snow covered roads on Jan. 26 contributed to a one-car crash in Rush Township.

Linda Wheaton, 65, of Tamaqua, was driving a Nissan Versa, traveling east on Pine Creek Drive (Route 54), when she lost control while negotiating a curve. The car struck a guide rail, then spun on the icy, snow covered road, coming to rest in the westbound lane.There were no injuries, but the car had to be towed from the scene.
