Tamaqua police have cited Tracy Hicks, 48, of 405 Pine St., Tamaqua, with public drunkenness.

Police responded, along with emergency medical personnel, to a report of a woman falling on Mauch Chunk Street at 5:57 p.m. on Jan. 18.On scene they found Hicks on the ground, propped up against a Jeep Cherokee. She smelled strongly of alcohol and was unable to stand on her own.She refused medical treatment and was taken back to the police station where she agreed to a portable breath test. The test registered a 0.41 percent blood alcohol level.
