A vehicle stop in Lehigh County on Wednesday led to the finding of a large quantity of untaxed cigarettes.

State police at Fogelsville said a rental vehicle was stopped along Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township, about 1:40 a.m. for a vehicle code violation.At the stop troopers observed multiple indicators of criminal activity. A consent search was conducted and found was 588 cartons of Virginia tax stamped cigarettes.The driver, Imad Noman Said, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested for possession of untaxed cigarettes. He was taken to the county prison pending arraignment, troopers said.
