Tamaqua police filed charges against Krystle Lee Ketchledge, 24, of 227 Lafayette St., Tamaqua, after an incident at the Family Dollar Store on Jan. 22.

Officers were called to the store, at 137 N. Railroad St., at 6:57 p.m. after the store manager observed a woman placing items in her purse.As the officer arrived Ketchledge finished checking out and was headed to the door when she was stopped by the store manager. The officer had her empty her purse and found an electrical cord, three rolls of pink tape and an adjustable collar that hadn't been purchased. The items were valued at less than $20.She was cited for retail theft.
