A Tamaqua man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest faces additional charges after Tamaqua police arrested him on Jan. 17.

At 12:10 a.m. officers received a tip that Jacob Kamant, 24, of 158 Orwigsburg St., who had a bench warrant for his arrest, was at a bar on East Broad Street.Officers checked and found Kamant in a back room playing pool. When told he was under arrest, Kamant began walking out the door, then began running. He didn't get very far as there were police officers covering the front and rear doors to the business.Kamant was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison on the warrant. He was also charged with escape and resisting arrest.
