A motor vehicle accident in McAdoo on Christmas Eve has led to charges being filed against a McAdoo woman.

Police were dispatched to the area of Kennedy Drive and Grant Street at 8:35 p.m., where they found a damaged parked car. The driver who struck the vehicle was at the scene and identified as Debbie Steibler, 47. Steibler smelled of alcohol and was given, and failed, field sobriety tests. She was transported to an area hospital for blood tests.The results of those tests were positive for alcohol, showing a blood-alcohol content of 0.215 percent, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08.She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and careless driving.
