A Carbon County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash at 8:06 p.m. Jan. 20 at the intersection of Route 100 and Herber Road in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Brent A. Hontz, 49, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2001 Ford F450 truck northbound on 100 and approaching the intersection with Herber Road. Hontz came to a stop at the intersection while waiting to make a left turn onto Herber Road. His truck was then rear-ended by a 2000 Volkswagen Golf driven by Colin A. Balliet, 33, of Palmerton.No one was injured. Troopers cited Balliet for following too closely.
