A deer was blamed for causing a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Wednesday.

State police at Frackville said Sheila M. Noll, 48, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2002 Buick Rendezvous westbound on Red Dale Road in West Brunswick Township at 5:54 p.m. when two deer entered the road in front of her. She attempted to avoid the animals and lost control.The Buick went onto the berm and struck two mailboxes on the south side, then hit a ditch, where it came to rest. Noll was not injured but the Buick had to be towed from the scene.
