Traffic slows to a crawl at Tamaqua's Five Points intersection near rush hour Wednesday as roads become slick. A midwinter snowfallof a few inches was enough to force cancellation of sporting events, meetings and evening activities throughout the region. More snow is headed our way Saturday but expected amounts are still unclear. The only thing certain is that meteorological spring is five weeks away regardless of what the groundhog says on Feb. 2.
