A large amount of cash was reported taken in a Schuylkill County incident.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred on Tuesday at a residence along Morea Road, in West Mahanoy Township. Troopers said two males, pretending to work for the water company, entered the residence at 4:30 p.m. to check for contaminated water. Once inside, one of the suspects distracted the homeowners while the other stole $8,000.The two then fled the area in an unknown type vehicle. The suspects were described as follows: both were white, one being about 6 feet tall, medium build, while the other was about 5 feet 4 inches with stocky build.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
