Members of the board of Shepherd House food pantry received a $5,000 check from PPL's "Operation Help Fund" in their Lehighton office. Board members include, from left, Charles Hettler, chairman; Jean Zimmerman, vice chairwoman; Shirley Radler, secretary; and Stanley Haupt, administrator. Presenting the check was Paul Canevari, Northeast regional affairs director. Canevari said that the fund usually helps people in need with their heating bills, but this year they also used it to fund 10 food pantries.
