Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon Family Groups meet at different locations in the Palmerton Area.From 7-8 p.m. on Monday evenings, Al-Anon Family Group/Serenity Seekers meet at Salem United Methodist Church, 4145 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton.Alateen support group for teens of families struggling with alcohol and Adult Al-Anon and AA meetings are from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St. Palmerton/Bowmanstown.Courage to Change Al-Anon Family Group meets from 7-8 p.m. Thursdays at St. John's UCC, 891 Columbia Ave. Palmerton.These are anonymous fellowship groups offering hope to families and friends of alcoholics, past or present, whether they are still drinking or not.For more information, call 484-477-9697.Senior centerThe Palmerton Senior Center, 501 Delaware Ave. Palmerton, serves lunch daily at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.For lunch reservations, call 610-826-4505 the day before by 9:30 a.m.Activities include pinochle, penny games and bingo.Community mealA free community meal will be served from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave. Palmerton.Come enjoy a free meal and fellowship.Holy TrinityhappeningsHoly Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave. Palmerton, will hold worship services at 8 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.During the services will be the installation of congregational council.A reorganization of congregational council meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
