A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:24 a.m. Thursday along Route 209 near North Weaver Street in Porter Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kaitlyn Miller, 22, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2005 Mazda 3 northbound when the car traveled onto the west berm and struck a utility pole.The impact caused the car to turn about 90 degrees clockwise, where it came to rest facing east.Miller sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Troopers also said she is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time.Charges are pending the blood test results, troopers said. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
