Dr. Karen Rice has been named as the cabinet fellow on the president's administrative board at Millersville University.

She takes the place of Dr. Richard Clark who was the first cabinet fellow and served in that position for the past year.The position was created with the intent of offering professional development to department chairs who might be interested in career advancement as an academic or university administrator. Cabinet fellows gain firsthand experience in the workings of university administration.Rice is the chair of the social work department and has been at Millersville since 2006. She has her bachelor's from Millersville, a master's in social work from Temple and her Ph.D. is from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
