A New York man has been charged by Tamaqua police after shoplifting several items at Boyer's Food Mart, 210 Cedar St.
Police were called to the grocery store at 10:13 a.m. on Dec. 30 after an employee saw a man placing several items in his backpack. When confronted, the man threw the items in the aisle and attempted to leave. He was detained by store personnel.When police arrived they identified the suspect as Ned S. Parker-Cottage, 28, of Freeport.He was cited for retail theft.
