State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes investigated by troopers this week, one a hit and run.

The first crash was reported at 10:15 a.m. along Hideaway Hills Road at Carney Road in Polk Township. Troopers said Joseph Roger Morency, 31, of Saylorsburg, and Scott Matthew Krycia, 43, of Fountain Hill, were stopped at a stop sign when Morency attempted to back up into a residence near the stop sign and backed into the front of Krycia's vehicle.Damages were minor to the front bumper of Krycia's vehicle. No injuries were reported.The hit-and-run occurred at the Towamensing Fire Company, 105 Firehouse Road, in Towamensing Township. Troopers said a maroon vehicle struck a chain-link fence, causing damages at the fire company, then fled the scene. The incident was reported at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday.
