Slush on a Schuylkill County road was blamed for a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:14 p.m. on Wednesday along Schaeffer Hill Road in Cass Township.
State police at Frackville said George P. Sinkovich, 70, of Pottsville, was driving a 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck westbound and ascending a slight hill when he lost control due to slush on the road. The truck spun 180-degrees clockwise and slid backward into an embankment along the berm.Sinkovich sustained a cut to his lip and was treated at the scene by Minersville ambulance personnel. The truck required towing.Troopers cited Sinkovich for the crash.
