A Tamaqua woman was cited for allowing her dog to bark to the point that it annoyed her neighbors.

Police were dispatched to 212 Orwigsburg St., at 4 p.m. Jan. 7. The officer spoke to the complainant, who noted the dog barks all day and night, to the point where he started recording the noise.The dog's owner, Marissa Kunkle, said the animal was new to the home and adapting to its new surroundings. She was given a verbal warning and asked to control the dog better.Just about one hour later the complainant called back to say the dog had been barking repeatedly since the officer left the area. He again recorded the noise.Kunkle was contacted and told she would be receiving a citation based on the neighbor's complaint.
