A Tamaqua man was cited following a disturbance on Jan. 10.
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Lafayette Street at 10:03 p.m. for a disturbance caused by several males yelling and possibly fighting.On scene officers found three adult males, then proceeded to gather information and identify the men. While waiting for a records check, one of the men became agitated and began yelling, saying there were warrants out for his arrest, issued by Shenandoah police.He was identified as Kevin Ketchledge, 32, of 227 Lafayette St. During the wait for the arrest warrants to be checked, Ketchledge became aggravated, cursing at the other two men. Despite being in handcuffs, he attempted to head butt one of the men.He refused officers' requests to calm down, instead trying to fight with the officers. He was then arrested. During a pat down search, officers found a fixed blade knife, without a sheath, in the suspect's right front pants pocket.The records check came back negative for any warrants. He was cited for public drunkenness.
