January 15, 1960 Russ Miller's steal and layup with 30 seconds to play breaks a tie and helps lift Nesquehoning to a 60-56 Black Diamond League win over Tamaqua. The Warriors trail by two points before Bob Scasny ties the game with an outside shot. Miller's steal and basket puts his team up for good. Tom Ouly tallies a team-high 19 points for the Nesquers while Jack Ruzicka finishes with 14. The winners, coached by George Roscoe, also receive 10 points from John Hrapsky. For Tamaqua, "Sonny" Haggerty scores a team-high 15 points.
