An Effort man left the Monroe County Courthouse on Tuesday after attempting to give a fake urine sample.

Rickey Tartaglia, 53, is on probation for driving under the influence and while providing a urine sample Tuesday, his probation officer noticed him making unusual movements.The officer searched Tartaglia and found a small white bottle with urine.County Detective Joseph Coddington charged Tartaglia with possessing an instrument of crime and failure to furnish drug-free urine.Tartaglia was incarcerated in the Monroe County Correctional Facility on a probation violation.
