Lansford Borough Council is hoping volunteers step forward to fill several existing vacancies.

The council meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.Mary Fittos, borough secretary/treasurer, said the vacancies include:• Civil Service Commission one seat and three alternates.• Planning Commission one seat.• Zoning Hearing Board one seat and two alternate seats.• Vacancy Board one seat.• Lansford-Coaldale Joint Water Authority one seat.• Coaldale-Lansford-Summit Hill Sewer Authority one seat.Fittos said anyone interested in serving should submit a letter of interest to her at the borough hall by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.If anyone has questions about any of the vacancies, contact Fittos at 570-645-3900.
