A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Saturday on a charge of terroristic threats and related counts.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 6:15 p.m. in the 100 block of New Street in Pottsville. Troopers said Brian Specht, 46, of Pottsville, entered the residence and caused a disturbance. During the incident, Specht threw an object at one of the victims and began threatening to kill the others. The victims were listed as a 78-year-old male and three females, ages 75, 42 and 18, all of the address listed.When troopers arrived Specht refused to leave the residence. When attempting to be placed into custody, Specht resisted and had to be forcefully restrained.After a search of Specht troopers found a plastic bag containing four baggies of a controlled substance.In addition to the threats charge, Specht was also charged with resisting arrest, harassment and drug counts. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilber, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $10,000 straight cash bail.
