Rain/freezing rain to continue throughout day

Rain and freezing rain will continue in the area through the morning.

Temperatures will remain steady in the low 30s in the valleys and mid 30s along the ridges above 1500 feet.

Pockets of freezing rain will linger the longest in the sheltered valleys where the cold air is difficult to scour out.

Additional ice accumulations in these locations will be under one-tenth inch through midday.

Today: Rain, snow, and freezing rain before 4pm, then a chance of rain and sleet. High near 35. Light and variable wind becoming south around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: A chance of snow before 10pm, then a slight chance of rain between 10pm and midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind 8 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
