Aggravated assaultCriminal charges were filed against Joseph Zaffuto, 43, of 430 Delaware Ave. Palmerton, for two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, harassment, and criminal trespass.The incident occurred on Dec. 25 at 11:17 p.m. in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue.Dogs running at largeDonald Fritz, 42, of 1450 Laurel Lane, Palmerton, was cited for dogs running at large. The violation occurred on Oct. 31 at 1:57 p.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.Drug paraphernaliaCriminal charges were filed against Walter Morales, 34, of 1 Whelen Place, Yonkers, New York, for possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.The incident occurred on Dec. 26 at 7:43 p.m. in the 600 block of Mauch Chunk Road.Criminal charges were filed against Diane Lutz, 45, of 13 Spruce St. Lehighton, for retail theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on Dec. 27 at 5:43 p.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.Offensive weaponsCriminal charges were filed against Justin Kuneck, 37, of 551 Franklin Ave, Palmerton, for firearms not to be carried without a license and prohibited offensive weapons. The incident occurred on Dec. 21 at 4:58 p.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.Retail theftCriminal charges were filed against Anna Miller, 41, of 3 Chestnut Ridge Circle, Kunkletown, for retail theft and defiant trespass. The incident occurred on Dec. 11 at 11:16 a.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.Other citationsPalmerton Police also issued three citations for speeding, six for traffic violations and one for a vehicle violation.
