A Monroe County driver and his passenger were injured in one of two crashes investigated on county roads by state police at Fern Ridge.
Troopers said Raymond J. Graceffa, 19, of Effort, was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla along Long Mountain Drive, in Chestnuthill Township at 12:35 p.m. Saturday when the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.Graceffa and his passenger, Christopher Cuellar, 21, of Jamaica Estates, New York, were taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of injuries.Graceffa was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed, troopers said.A rear-end crash occurred at 11:33 a.m. on Dec. 30 along Route 715 in Jackson Township. Troopers said Deanne R. Galasso, 30, of Kunkletown, and Maria Sehic, 78, of Kresgeville, were both northbound near the Reeders Post Office when Sehic began to slow down to make a right turn into the post office lot.Galasso failed to slow down and the front of her 2006 GMC Envoy hit the rear of Sehic's 1996 Ford Taurus.Sehic sustained a minor injury in the crash while Galasso was not injured.Galasso was cited for following too closely, troopers added.
