A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 9 p.m. on New Year's Day.

State police at Frackville said Anthony R. Pavlock, 64, of Frackville, was driving a 2000 Ford F250 truck southbound and approaching a 90-degree left turn at the intersection with Raricks Road in North Union Township.At the intersection the truck went straight onto the westbound Rarick's Road, but traveled across the oncoming eastbound lane and continued off the shoulder and into a ditch.Pavlock was found by area homeowners passed-out behind the wheel with the truck running and still in gear. Emergency personnel were called to the scene and were able to wake Pavlock. Due to his altered consciousness state, he was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.Troopers said evidence at the scene indicated Pavlock was driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending blood test results, troopers added.
