Andrew P. Romeo, 20, of Saylorsburg, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:53 p.m. Dec. 23 on Weir Lake Road in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, in the West End Ambulance.Police said he was driving a 2006 Pontiac G8 too fast for conditions and was southbound when the vehicle exited the road, striking a tree with its passenger side front end.The car continued in a southward direction, crossing the northbound lane and exiting the east edge of the road before coming to a halt.The vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.Police said Romeo will be cited for failure to operate a vehicle at a safe speed.
