A teenage male was arrested during a traffic study checkpoint last week near Weissport.

Lehighton State Police said that at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, a 19-year-old male was observed operating his gray 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier along Bridge Street near Route 209, Weissport Borough.During the traffic study checkpoint, the male was found to be under the influence of marijuana, and was also in possession of about 19.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.The male was arrested for DUI and drug possession, and taken to Lehighton Hospital, where he submitted to a blood test.The investigation is ongoing.
