State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle.

The incident happened between Dec. 11 and 21 at 72 Park Place Road, Mahanoy Township.The victim, Josita Steward, 58, of Mahanoy City, told police the vehicle was taken from her residence in the past week.The car is a 1997 gray Mazda 626 bearing the Pa. registration plate HZG-2816.
