Alek Lugo, 19, of Tobyhanna, died in a one-vehicle crash at 4:32 a.m. Saturday on Route 196 in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene by a Monroe County deputy coroner.Police said Lugo was a passenger in a 2002 Dodge Neon that was operated by Dominique Camacho, 22, also of Tobyhanna. She was injured and transported by emergency medical services to the Geisinger Community Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.Police said she was driving north on Route 196 when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree, causing catastrophic damages. The roadway was closed for nine hours after the crash while officials conducted an accident reconstruction investigation.
