Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy were recently selected as the Students of the Month for the month of October. These students were chosen for displaying the virtue of kindness.

Award recipients are Stephen Bretzik, Derek Schlosser, Callie Kosciolek, Emily Stawiarski, Kamryne Smith, Sierra Bauer, Brian Bauer, Emily Haas and Anthony Costello.Each student said why they were chosen as the Students of the Month.Kindergarten, Callie Kosciolek: "I am kind to my classmates and teachers."Grade 1, Derek Schlosser: "I show kindness to everyone around me."Grade 2, Emily Stawiarski: "I like to be kind to everyone. I will help when someone asks me. I like to say nice things to make everyone happy."Grade 3, Stephen Bretzik: "I've been chosen for Student of the Month because of the virtue of kindness! I always try to be a good person."Grade 4, Kamryne Smith: "I want to be respectful to my teacher and my friends."Grade 5, Sierra Bauer: "I never say, 'I don't care.' I don't tease or make fun of people and I try to be kind to everyone even if I know they don't like me."Grade 6, Emily Haas: "I do my work and I am quiet. I am also kind to people even if they are mean."Grade 7, Brian Bauer: "I was chosen for kindness because I never say mean things to people. I also lend a helping hand whenever someone needs it."Grade 8, Anthony Costello: "I am always kind to teachers and students. I also say please and thank you for everything."
