Schuylkill County treasurer Jackie McGovern reminds residents that 2015 dog licenses are now available.Dogs 3 months of age or older must be licensed by law.Licenses may be obtained at the county courthouse in Pottsville, by mail, online at

www.padoglicense.com or at a variety of licensing agents.Locally, those agents include AAA at 202 E. Broad St.; Tom's Auto and Marine, Greenwood Street and Mountain Avenue; and Koch's Farm Service in the Lewistown Valley.There has been a small increase in fees. Owners of unlicensed dogs face fines of up to $500.For more information, call McGovern's office at 570-628-1433.Tax exemptionsThe Schuylkill County and Tamaqua Borough per capita and occupation tax exemption forms for 2015 are now available for Tamaqua residents.The exemption forms can be obtained at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 E. Broad St., Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.Forms will also be available at tax collector Pamela McCullion's office, the Tamaqua Area School District Administration building, the Tamaqua ABC High Rise, Majestic House Apartment Complex, the Tamaqua Public Library and the Tamaqua Post Office.Residents must complete the form each year to qualify for the tax exemption.Exoneration forms must be submitted by Jan. 30.St. Peter's UnionSunday worship services are held at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. This Sunday's service will include installation of church and cemetery board members. Sunday school classes will meet at 10:15 a.m.Also on Sunday, the Confirmation class will meet at 11:30 a.m.; bell choir will rehearse at 6 p.m.; Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadets and Cub Scouts will meet at 6 p.m.Activities for next week include: Tuesday, prayer group at 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Christmas Eve services at 2 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.Zion LewistownPastor Jim Williams will officiate at this Sunday's 10:30 a.m. service in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. The service will include the children's Christmas program, featuring the preschool and Sunday school students. Light refreshments will be served following the service.The annual candlelight Christmas Eve service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.Trinity UCCThe Rev. Darryl Kensinger will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. Sunday school classes meet at 8:45 a.m.Also on Sunday, visits to the fifth floor at St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, will begin at 2 p.m.Activities for next week will include: Wednesday, Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, prayer shawl at 1 p.m.
