State police report numerous burglaries in the area

State police at Lehighton reported on numerous burglary and attempted burglary reports investigated by troopers.

An attempted break-in was reported in the 100 block of Shadblue Lane in Penn Forest Township, at 11:07 a.m. on Oct. 29. The victim is a 30-year-old female.The victim observed a male suspect walking up her driveway. When he saw her, he and a second suspect fled the scene in a silver in color Kia Forte.The victim managed to get the registration plate number. Troopers identified the two suspects as a 21-year-old from Reading and a 20-year-old from Lehighton.A home in the 200 block of New York Boulevard, in Polk Township was entered by prying open the front door. Copper pipes and a hot water heater were removed. The home is in foreclosure and owned by Wells Fargo Bank. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 1 and Aug. 24.A home in the 400 block of Amber Lane in Ross Township was entered through a garage door. Once inside, the criminals rummaged through the residence and removed two large flat-screen televisions. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 30 and Sunday.A home in the 200 block of Silver Springs Boulevard, Kunkletown, was entered sometime between Nov. 30 and Saturday and various items were removed. A front door was forced open to gain entry.A home in the 200 block of Haney Road in Kresgeville was entered sometime between Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. A garage/breezeway door was forced open to gain entry. Copper piping was removed from the home.A home in the 600 block of Hatchery Road in Penn Forest Township was entered sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. on Dec. 10. A bottle of liquor and a chain saw were removed.A garage on property in the 700 block of Getz Dawl Road in Eldred Township, Monroe County, was entered by prying open the door. Welders were removed. The incident occurred sometime between Dec. 7-10.A home in the 700 block of Getz Dawl Road, Eldred Township, was entered through a exterior door and copper pipes were removed from the basement area. No time frame for the entry was available.A home in the 2200 block of Lake View Drive, Saylorsburg, was entered through a basement window. Electrical wires and baseball cards located in the basement were removed. The entry occurred sometime between 9:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 4.A home in the 1300 block of Meixsell Valley Road, Ross Township, was entered. A Barbie and Ken doll collection valued at $150 was removed. The incident occurred sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 24.A garage on a property in the 100 block of Lake Road, in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, was entered and several tools, gas cans and a ladder were removed. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 20 and 21.Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
