ServiceAre you grieving a recent loss? Are you suffering from emotional, health or financial issues? Are you overwhelmed with the upcoming holiday preparations? Does the holiday season make you feel sad and depressed?A Blue Christmas service is a nontraditional workshop that focuses on God's comfort and hope in times of difficulty and despair.It is a quiet, somber atmosphere that offers solace and spiritual support in the midst of an overwhelming time of year.All are invited to the service at St. John's UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, at 7 p.m. Sunday.Community mealA free community meal will be offered from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 265 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. All are invited to join in fellowship and a free meal.Blue MountainCommunity ChurchBlue Mountain Community Church will hold Christmas Eve services at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.All are welcome to the church at 25 Oak St., Palmerton.Holy TrinityhappeningsHoly Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave. Palmerton, will hold worship services at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, at which time the Children's Christmas program will be held.The service is titled "The Donkey in the Living Room."Afterward, the Sunday School will host a luncheon in the Parish Hall.The Christmas cantata will be presented at the Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m.There will be one service Christmas Eve and it will include communion and traditional carols.
