Rush Township police have charged three people in connection with a series of retail thefts at the HT Commons Wal-Mart. The thefts were reported in October and November.

Jason Stephens, 21, and Alexandra Perez, 24, both of Tamaqua; and Alyssa Shellhammer, 24, of Barnesville, worked together to steal items from the retail store, then make fraudulent returns.Stephens was charged with four counts of theft and receiving stolen property. Perez was charged with three counts of theft and receiving stolen property and Shellhammer was charged with one count of theft and receiving stolen property.
