A Kunkletown woman has been charged by Tamaqua police after she wrote a bad check to district court for payment of a fine.

Nicole Alberino, 34, of 1112 Old Farmville Road, Kunkletown, wrote a check in the amount of $60 to District Court 21-2-06 on Aug. 1. The check was returned by Wells Fargo Bank, marked "non-sufficient funds." A certified letter was sent to Alberino on Oct. 14, giving her 10 days to make good on the payment.When she failed to do so, she was cited for passing a bad check.
