A Sport Utility Vehicle collided with a PennDOT plow truck on Wednesday in Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Lucinda Beninsky, 50, of Shenandoah, was driving a 2013 Nissan Rogue southbound on Route 924 in East Union Township, about 4:32 p.m. and descending a grade.Beninsky lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road and slid into the northbound lane where she collided with the PennDOT truck, which was driven by Raymond T. Nestor, 60, of Shenandoah. The force of the impact severely damaged the Rogue and sheared the plow mechanism partially from the truck.Beninsky suffered an arm injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Nestor was not injured.Troopers said the road was shutdown for about an hour and a half due to the crash and due to a tractor-trailer truck becoming stuck.Troopers added that Beninsky was cited for the crash.
