A Schuylkill County driver escaped injury early today after he crashed his truck along a snow-covered county road.
State police at Frackville said Stacey J. Lash, 49, of Pottsville, was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on Route 209 in the village of Cumbola, Blythe Township, about 1:30 a.m. when he told troopers he encountered a vehicle southbound in his lane of travel.He said he swerved to avoid a collision, lost traction, with his truck striking an embankment along the berm, causing it to overturn onto its side on the road.Damages were disabling to the truck. The road was closed for about an hour until the wreckage was cleared, troopers added.
