Break-in, thefts investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported on burglaries and theft incidents investigated by troopers.

Troopers said the home of Helen Ejemai, 205 Whisperwood Court, Saylorsburg, was entered through a rear door. Taken were miscellaneous items. The incident was reported at 5:10 p.m. on Monday.A garage on the property of William Joseph Black, 2722 Pocono Circle, Jackson Township, was entered through a side window. Miscellaneous items were removed from the garage. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 26 and 30.An attempt was made to enter Valerio's Pizza, located at 2702 Route 903 in Penn Forest Township around 4:30 a.m. Dec. 3.A power drill was used on a rear emergency exit door but an alarm was activated that apparently scared off the criminals before entry was made.Troopers are investigating a theft incident at Pocono Auto Mart, located in Brodheadsville. Troopers said someone removed four tires from a 2001 Pontiac Sunbird, that was parked to the rear of the business. Also, the driver's side window was smashed. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.Gail D. Green, 69, of 89 Pocahontas Lane, Mt. Pocahontas, Albrightsville, reported someone removed a UPS package from her front porch. The incident occurred sometime between 2 and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
