A hit-and-run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County after a vehicle crashed into a building. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 2:32 a.m. Sunday along East Adamsdale Road in North Manheim Township.

Troopers said a vehicle was driven eastbound when the driver attempted to make a right turn to go south of Greenview Road. In the process the vehicle traveled off the road and into the porch of the Crossroads Inn. The rear driver's side of the vehicle hit two steel posts filled with concrete as well as wooden posts holding up the porch roof of the inn. It appears that after striking the building the driver fled south on Greenview Road.Troopers said the vehicle should have rear driver's side damage, mainly the lens cover for the turn signal and taillight. The vehicle is red, possibly a 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
