A Schuylkill County fire company has been cited by the Bethlehem enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violation of the liquor code.

Muir Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, of 107 Church St., village of Muir, Porter Township, was cited for failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years immediately preceding Sept. 7, concerning the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones.In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
