During a meeting Thursday, Walker Township supervisors approved a proposed 2015 budget which raises taxes by 0.5 mills. That translates to a tax that is 55.4 cents for each $100 of assessed valuation of a property.

The budget is balance with revenues at $416,733 and expenditures at $416,734. The supervisors will meet at 11 a.m. Dec. 27 to adopt the budget; it is available for review at the township office. The supervisors also set the date for their reorganizational meeting for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 5.
