PPL Utilities has restored power to 1,647 customers in Penn Forest Township. A company spokesman said the outage was caused by a tree falling on wires. Power was restored at 3 p.m.

A handful of Met-Ed customers remain without power in the Pleasant Valley area.

The wet, heavy snow has caused many outages.

After Wednesday's storm, more than 1,400 PPL customers were without electricity in the Times News coverage area.
