State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of a child safety seat from a vehicle in Chestnuthill Township.

The incident was reported at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday at 1011 Bluegrass Lane in the township.The victim, Apheraddyttie Hennebron of Effort, told police someone took the pink-colored seat from the vehicle and left the scene undetected.
