State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle incident that happened between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday in Chestnuthill Township.

The car owner reported someone stole a battery from her vehicle while it was parked at 1105 Lakeside Drive, Effort.
