Copper wire and piping has been taken in a Monroe County burglary. It was one of two burglaries investigated by state police at Fern Ridge.
Troopers said the former Altemose Excavating office/warehouse located at 305 Miller Road in Chestnuthill Township, was entered sometime between Nov. 1 and 20 and the copper taken. The victim is Michael L. Altemose, 46, of Whitney, New York.The second entry occurred at the home of John Leslie Jones, 51, of 530 Clearview Drive, Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township. A garage on the property was entered and a vehicle inside was entered. Troopers did not indicate if anything was taken in the entry, which occurred sometime between Nov 20 at 8 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 21.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
