November 22, 1956 Larry Silliman scores two touchdowns, one on offense and another on special teams, to help lift Palmerton to a 20-12 comeback win over Slatington. The Blue Bombers trail heading into the fourth quarter but a bad snap on a punt attempt is recovered by Silliman and he returns it for the go-ahead score. Later his 29-yard run sets up his own 1-yard TD plunge. The winners, coached by John Young, also receive a 9-yard scoring run by Jack Cook. For the Slaters, Hal Valora and Dick Reitz both score touchdowns.
