Three driving under the influence arrests, one stemming from an accident, were reported by Pocono Mountain Regional police occurring on Monroe County roads.
The crash occurred at 11:02 p.m. Thursday along Miller Drive in the Lake Naomi development in Pocono Pines. Police responded to a crash with entrapment and found that Nicole Paolucci, 22, of Pocono Summit, had rolled her vehicle and was trapped inside.Paolucci was extricated from the vehicle by police and Lake Naomi security personnel. She sustained severe facial injuries, police said, and was transported to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. Police said she had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her. The DUI charge is pending test results, police said.On Saturday police responded to the K-gate entrance along Route 196 to A Pocono Country Place for a report of an intoxicated female.On scene officers found Renitta Santos, 46, of Tobyhanna, with security personnel. She attempted to use her gate pass to get into the community and was unable to do it successfully. Santos showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was then taken to the county DUI center for a blood test. The charge is pending test results.On Sunday at 3:20 a.m. police observed a vehicle travel from Sullivan Trail onto Pocono Crest Road, in Tobyhanna Township, and appear to go into the woods. Upon checking to see if there was an accident, police found no accident.The driver, identified as Shannon Argot, 35, of Pocono Lake, was found to be intoxicated. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the DUI center for a blood test. The charge is pending the test results.
