A Carbon County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.

State police at Lehighton responded to the area of 106 Unionville Road in Penn Forest Township. At the scene troopers learned that Edward A. Norato II, 47, and Armani Balesteros, 49, had a physical altercation resulting in Balesteros being injured.Troopers took Norato into custody and transported him to the Lehighton hospital for a mental health evaluation. Troopers indicated simple assault and harassment charges are pending gainst Norato.
